English requirement

I've taken 6 courses from UCSD that are not straight from english dept, but the courses require intensive writing and fulfill the writing requirement at UCSD.
Can i list them as english? can i list half as english and half as history? (these courses have english and history components)

Depends on what AACOMAS will list them as since they verify and classify courses. You could also ask individual schools. Some schools will specifically say you need English from English department
