I planned to go into SMP and do the whole ROTC thing, but I didn't really consider my commitment after graduating. I definitely don't want to do military medicine after school, so what exactly are my options here?
Should I stay in the guard after graduating and likely get deployed partway through med school, or maybe just go active duty and get it over with before starting?
I'm ok with being deployed, but I'd like to make sure my future goals of getting through med school are still possible without waiting until I'm over 30.
