Hey guys! Im wondering what you all think of doing an enrichment program during the summer before applying to dental school? For those of you that did one, did you find it helped you in the application process? I am a career changer and I am looking for more ways to immerse myself in the types of things I will encounter in dental school. You're advice is greatly appreciated!

Yes! I did two enrichment programs and I got accepted to both schools. I did SMDEP (now called SHPEP) at Rutgers on 2016 and MDPP at UConn this past summer.

Ah! I did see MDPP at UConn and am really interested in applying. How did you like the experience as a whole?

It was very intense studying for the DAT but super helpful to be in an environment where you could focus and the other people around your were in the same position. Plus, 4 of us who participated an applied to UConn got accepted.

Definitely do it if you have the opportunity to. I did one and thought that it was a huge benefit and really helped improved my entire application.
