Kind of a broad question, you think?

The answer would also vary quite a bit depending on what program you are talking about. In very general terms, you will learn ENT surgery starting with the basics (tubes, tonsils, trachs, DL) and progressing up to big cancer cases/ear surgery/airway recon/etc by the end of residency. You'll also spend a lot of time in the clinic, probably more than most other surgical specialties (2-3 days/week). Some programs push the 80 hour limit, others are much more lifestyle-friendly. Certain services (i.e. H+N vs. Otology) may have widely different work hours within the same program. The best way to see what the life of an ENT resident is like is to do an ENT rotation as a medical student (or make friends with an ENT resident).
