Hi,

I have a undergrad degree in economics but deciding a career change into the science field. I am currently taking science courses at a community college that is leading towards this career. I was wondering if anyone can give me some insight or background of what this job is really about (ie. summary of a day at work). My family owns a restaurant so I am very familiar with the whole kitchen environment. I hope that this well help me significantly but I am still not clear on what the position actually does. Anyone currently employed as an REHS. If so how is the salary like after 5 years? I was told by someone else that they only made about 50K after 10 years and by another person that he made roughly 70k after 7 years. not sure who to believe....

If anyone doesn't know what I'm talkin about... i think the common name for this job is a public health inspector

Below is more information.
