Hey all, I'm an accepted student missing .33 semester credits in one of the science pre-reqs (that is, I have a quarter and a semester). I checked with schools, and some have said I would have to take another class to account for the .33 credits.

Has anyone taken a Stanford EPGY university-level course for credit? I'm looking into EPGY because they're on the quarter system, and I don't really want to take a semester class to account for .33 credits. I apologize if this question has been asked before, but I couldn't find anything about EPGY on the site. Thanks!

I have no idea what EPGY is, but the best way to answer this question is to ask the schools individually. Some may accept while others may not.

I appreciate that, but I was looking more for personal experience. I want to get a feel for the program before contacting the med schools in question. Thank you, though.

I took 3 university-level math courses from EPGY when I was in high school, and I included these on AMCAS to fulfill my math requirements. As far as I know, the transcript did not say "online," though it might have said "Stanford Continuing Studies."

Bottom line is, schools seemed to have no problem with EPGY courses (nor should they). Though, a bunch of interviewers were initially confused when they saw Stanford listed under the "Schools Attended" section of AMCAS, because it looked to them like I went there when I was supposed to be in high school. 🙂

Of course, I would definitely check with your school to make sure it's okay.
