Hi everyone!
I have a wonderful opportunity that I want to share with the SDN community! I am part of an internship called Epilepsy Enlightened that helps spread research knowledge about epilepsy treatments (surgery focused) to the public. Right now we are mainly on Instagram (Login • Instagram) and have a website (www.epilepsyenlightened.com) on the way. We are partnered with UCI Neurosurgery and they have pretty ambitious goals for this project.
This is an exciting chance for premeds to add a really meaningful experience to their CV and do something that could impact a lot of patients and their families. We are recruiting more interns for the project. Depending on the intern's interest, the opportunities include:
-researching topics on epilepsy treatments
-summarizing and presenting them in an easy to digest manner to the public online
-running social media accounts (Instagram, FB, Tiktok, YT, etc)
-web design
-blog posts and web page write ups
-curating a monthly newsletter
-connecting with neurosurgeons to guest post on our website
-connecting with pharmaceutical and medical device companies
-connecting with epilepsy foundations
