There is an unexpected one-year fellowship position that just re-opened for the 2023-2024 Epilepsy Fellowship class with Case Western Reserve University and University Hospitals of Cleveland, in Cleveland, OH. The position begins on July 1, 2023, and finishes on June 30, 2024, though a shift in this schedule can be considered.

The CWRU/UH Epilepsy Center was founded by Hans Lüders, MD, PhD and directed by Guadalupe Fernandez-Baca Vaca, MD, both internationally recognized epileptologists. The mission of the Epilepsy Center is to train highly skilled academic epileptologists, who at the end of their training will emerge as leaders and experts in the management of medically refractory epilepsy, surgical epilepsy, and stereotactic EEG. Following successful completion of the fellowship, graduations will be eligible for subspecialty board certification in Epilepsy through the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN).

The UHCMC Epilepsy Center is comprised of a collaborative team of nine adult and pediatric epileptologists, as well as neurosurgery, neuropsychology, neuro-engineering, genetics, nursing, and support staff employing state-of-the-art technology to serve patients from northeast Ohio and around the world.

If interested, please contact:
Jon Zande, MD ([email protected]) the Epilepsy Program Director

Ms. Tarrika Allen ([email protected]), the Program Coordinator.

We look forward to hearing from you, and having you join our Epilepsy family!
