Type X collagen will never be the correct answer choice.

In fact the most esoteric answer choice I chose on my Step 1 was "tuberin". Lol.

This would be my vote. 1 is scars and bone, 2 is cartilage, 3 is soft organs, 4 is basement membranes. Always go with these if asked on a USMLE exam.
