Hey folks,

Wondering :

1. How long peeps typically keep their defibrillators / vital signs monitors , etc. around until they buy new equipment. Any office protocols on this, or do people keep them until they die ?

New or re-furbished ?

2. How often is equipment calibrated ? Annually or semi-annually ?

I keep them until they don't work. My monitoring equipment & autoclave is used. The other stuff was purchased new. We have obtained yearly biomed checks. There is no planned obsolescence in my purchasing.

Lol, if you keep the defib around until it doesn't work, I feel sorry for the last guy you try it on before replacing it...
