What do you think about this issue?

I have the choice to sit an Equivalency exam for the province of Quebec and without studying and loans to start practice, but only in that Province.

On other hand I can go to Denver and after 2 years and thousands of loans to have a DDS diploma and be able to practice everywhere…

What would you do?

what it is this equivalance exam in Quebeck? I have never heard about it.

Can you Please eloborate on the Equivalency exam in Quebec Province? Is there a website i can read more about it? Your reply is greatly appreciated.

Thanks in Advance.

The exam is unbeliebably hard, tricky, or extremely silly ( lots of ethics, chewing gum composition, questions with 5 equally possible answers), and I dont know anyone who passed it ...so I saved my money and decided to try in the US then go back to Quebec, but you can give it a shot if:

1-you have $4500 you found on the road
2-speak french perfectly
3-you are a romanian

I know alot of french friends ( fresh graduated or experienced) failed that exam twice... and you know, you have the right to retake only once 😉.

gooooooood luck

You don't need to speak perfect French if you practice in Montreal but you have to pass a French Proficiency exam which involves a written test and an interview.

But I personally think if you got the money, you should go to get your diploma.

the exam is 12 000 in total
I spent already 4500 and I have 7 more days to decide to pay the next 5500 or to choose Denver.
the exam is not so hard - last year from 31 dentists giving the practical more than 50% had it. The theorie is not harder than EE I have there 90% when they ask only 75%.
To practice in Quebec you have to pass the frech test but as a registered dentist you have 3 years to do so I am not worry about that exam. The real question is do I really want to be stucked to Quebec all my live.
About the money is clear that Denver will be on a loan.
thank you for the few answers. good luck to anyone.

About the Equivalency you can check it here but you have to residents of Canada as a beginning

I understood first two conditions ,but I can not understand why you have to be romanian .. They ,usually speak good French ,it is true ,but more than that , I can not see other advantages for them .

Go for the DDS. You'll thank me later. It's really too hard to explain. Just take my word for it.

Just what he said... Good Luck!

I want to have the freedom to choose
