Does anyone know why a and b are not equivalent H's??

I don't think I understand the substituting test completely..! THanks 🙂


Also...

Same goes for this one... isn't it symmetric making the d and e equivalent?

Wow where is this from?

This looks like beyond the scope of DAT organic chemistry.

Splitting protons and H-NMR questions I encountered were a lot simpler than this.

Any chemist out there wanna comment on this? I don't get how these hydrogens are not equivalent either.
