I've always been interested in Emergency Med and was just wondering if anyone knows of any good ER blogs.

...i tried the search function but didn't really see anything.

Maybe we should turn this thread into one....

At the ER where I work, we recently had a patient come in missing the skin of his member (i.e., a degloving). We treated him in the urgent care unit of our ER for the wound, which he had apparently received from his intoxicated girlfriend the night before. Due to having made suicidal remarks after seeing his injury, the Pt was also placed on a 72-hour hold and later sent for extended psychiatric evaluation at a psych hospital nearby. The funny thing is that the psych hospital sent the Pt back to the ER because his BP was "too high" at one point -- a mere ~145/95
