ERAS dates?

On ERAS’s FAQ it says we can submit July 5th for DO students and in September for MD students. Does anyone know why this is?

I’m pretty sure that’s a carry over from last year that they just haven’t updated yet. July 5th was when DO students could apply to AOA residencies, which if I’m not mistaken was done through ERAS
