Im a dental student looking into loupes. I’m considering getting a pair of ergonomic loupes and was wondering if anyone has experience with these 3 brands.

From the research I’ve done so far.

Lumadent - ErgoPrism - seems like there were quality issues that may have been remedied recently, but overall haven’t heard great things. Max magnification is 5x.

Designs for Vision - Infinity Vue - seem like decent quality, US based, max magnification is 3.5x (was initially planning on these but wanted higher magnification)

Andau/Admetec- ergo loupes- Israel based, partner with Canadian company. Have reps in US now but have to send loupes to Israel for repairs/adjustments which seems like a major con. Quality seems fine. They have higher magnification (4x,5x,6x,7.5x) which is helpful considering my working distance is almost 30 inches and is one of the few reasons I’m considering them over designs for vision.

Would love any feedback/reviews from people who have used any of the above, open to other suggestions as well

Just get Q-optics 4.5x
I currently have a pair of 4x Q-optics and am within the 45-day trial. No real complaint except my neck feels a little tight after sim lab even after trying to emulate proper posture and having professors give feedback. Also a little eye strain looking down my face.

When I tried the ergo loupes it felt really natural and no strain.

A friend has Lumadent ErgoPrism 4x I think. I've tried them a few times, they are amazing.

If I could afford them, I'd definitely buy them over other loupes. He sits up completely straight unlike myself as well

I have the andau 7.5x eroprism, don't think I would ever go back to regular loupes. They are crystal clear, my head is up straight. My assistant jokes I look like a blind dentist since my head is looking straight ahead but my hands are obviously working. Worth the investment, buying 2 different loupes before these cost more.
