Hi guys.. does anyone know the trick, i mean menemonics for tooth eruption dates and sequence?? i mean both for primary and permanent dentition?? i am finding it really hard memorizing those date periods.. any help appreciated...:):)

primary dentition eruption :

incisors 6mos
1M 12 mos
canines 18mos
2M 24 mos

usually mand teeth erupts before max counterpart

ERUPTION SEQUENCE FOR PERMANENT TEETH
folloows same thing man erupt before their max counterparts
1M 6YRS
MAND CI 6-7YRS
MAND LI 7-8YRS
MAX CI 7-8YRS
MAX LI 8-9YRS
MAND CANINE 9-10YRS
PMS(1st then 2nd) 10-12yrs
MAX CANINE 11-12YRS
2M 13YRS
3M 17-19YRS

this is the sequence i learned as well, but then how does this question make sense...

which is third pair of permanent teeth to erupt in normal sequence?
answer - mandibular lateral incisor :confused:
 
also when it says pair it's referring to right and left counterparts right? not max and mand?

so order is


1M 6YRS - MANDIBULAR
1M MAXILLARY 6YRS
(cuz both 6yr molars come in before mand ci right?)
MAND CI 6-7YRS
MAND LI 7-8YRS
MAX CI 7-8YRS
MAX LI 8-9YRS

What about when you are given an age of a patient and you have to figure out how many permenant teeth remain? Lets say.... 9? any tricks?
