12p 10v 14b, which I'm really excited about, but I got an M on the writing section, and I'm wondering how much that's going to hurt me. My GPA is very strong.

What are my chances at schools like Michigan and Cornell?

I keep hearing mixed things about how important essay scores are. Can someone clear this up?

You're fine.

In my Princeton Review class, the teachers said for US allopathic, M and up is good to go 👍

the writing score won't matter, but neither of those places is a show in for anyone.

It does not matter. I got an L; noone even asked me about it. I applied to four schools and have already been accepted into three of them.

It really doesn't matter what your essay score is. Schools see so much randomness in the way those things are scored that they give them no mind at all. They'll judge your writing ability from your essays.

Just be sure your essays are well-written and you'll be fine. Have several people go over your PS and secondary essays to make sure the language is ok.

same story here.

As a result, 9 invites out of 14.
1 rejection.

Still waiting on 4.

So not a big deal as long as everything else on your application is solid.
