Hi,

Could anyone tell me what essays are required in the AMCAS for MD/PhD applicants? This year I am applying internally to my school's MD/PhD program. They are going to use my previous application which was geared towards MD-only, so I'm writing up new essays to address the differences. Thanks!

Two additional essays are required for AMCAS - a 10,000 character statement about your significant research experience and a 3,000 character essay about why you want to pursue an MD/PhD. You school's secondary may have also had additional questions for MD/PhD only appplicants. You can find prompts for many schools in the MSTP secondary thread.
