There are many threads on ethics questions, but none of them actually addresses the questions itself. For example, if a patient needs an amputation but vehemently refuses treatment, what would you do? I know there are arguments for both sides, but LEGALLY, what do physicians HAVE to do in that situation? I'm NOT asking for opinions, I'm asking what do they have to do according the rules/regulations? I'm in Florida if that makes any difference. Thanks.
