Now I know Middle Eastern people are considered Caucasian but I had a friend recently write, "Caucasian: Iranian-American" in the "Other" section of his application and he thought it may have helped a little since he was accepted.

So my dad was born in Iran and I have duel Iranian-US citizenship. Would it hurt to do the same and note that I'm Iranian-American on my application? I know in the grand scheme of things this probably has trivial to no benefits, but I'm just trying to distinct myself the best of my ability. Thanks.

If you speak another language(Farsi), it might help. but you are Caucasian for sure and adding Iranian is not gonna help you as your DAT score and GPA!

Iranian does not consider ethnicity! like African American.

i have a question about minority scholarships.... is it for only African Americans and Hispanics, or can it be for other minority groups like Iranians and Pakistanis

of all the racial scholarships i've seen for under represented minorities in the field, most of the them are for african americans or hispanics. everyone else will have to settle for merit based ones, etc. although if, say an pakistani dentist has his own private scholarship fund, he may only award to a pakistani dental student.

Put it down! It can't hurt, and may give you a little bit of an edge. Being any kind of minority, even slightly, is certainly better than just putting straight up Caucasian if you have the family background.
