Hi All

Just wondering if anyone out there has any advice for me

I am a foreign medical graduate, I am looking to find out what are my other options for doing an intern year. I am willing to go to other countries other countries to intern but I am not finding much info on them and the countries that I have found info on (ie Australia/New Zealand) require that I am already registered as a physician (which doesn't make sense to me seeing that an intern year has to be completed for me to register as a physician and I would be seeking an intern position there).

I am also open to other fields of medicine but I can't find any research that doesn't require that I be a resident or green card holder in the US.

So what I am looking to find out is if there are any other options for me and how I can go about pursing them.

Any constructive advice is more than welcomed.

Thanks

Have you ever looked at the UK? You need to write the PLAB and then apply, you'd be doing foundation years I don't know if they will accept a non EU citizen from a non EU medical school for that you'd have to check. If you went to a Caribbean medical school as a Caribbean resident couldn't you just do residency in the Caribbean then move abroad?

My school is geared towards going into a US residency so I took all the US exams. I guess I could apply for a residency in the Caribbean but I think it may be more exams. I guess that may be true for where ever I go.

Thanks for your reply though. I appreciate it.
