The explanation states that gas b's temp remains constant because the total energy doesn't change. I understand why the total energy doesn't change but it seems like, as the gas expands, the potential energy between molecules will increase and therefore the kinetic energy of the molecules will decrease. This would result in a decrease in temp...wouldn't it?
