I remember the first time meeting her in person, when she came to Davis for her vet school interview and a bunch of us went out to dinner. She was an odd duck, but so bright. Her sense of humor was...something. In more recent times as her father has been more active on her social media, I figured out where she got that from, hah.
I also remember hanging out with her a lot early on when we started vet school. She had some difficulties that year and had to take some time off, before joining the class of 2015. In the short time she was in my class, and my friend group, she definitely made an impression. We made up weird and dirty little mnemonics in anatomy class and she got super wrecked by a cat during like the first few weeks of school at a homeless pet clinic, I remember. I hadn't really spoken to her in person since leaving Davis, but she always made it a point to keep up on Facebook, interacting with my posts and posting on my wall to see how everything was going and check in.
She was definitely dealt a bad and unfair hand and though I am very sad for her family and close friends, I am glad for her that she is at peace after all that she has gone through. She'll be missed for sure.
