Is there any place where I can get eye exam cheaper than $29 at Cohen's Optical?

If you live close to the Mexico border, you can cross over and get one free with a $5 frame/lens purchase.

You could probably find some place in the states that would give you the same deal.

You could always get a Sam's club membership $40, a $29 eye exam, and a Sam's club combo hot dog/pop for $5 and still come under a private practice exam spec of $120.

What a priceless experience.

My friend works just outside of Atlanta, he said they started to promote back to school specials.

I think it was $9.95 if you purchase glasses from them. But contact exam was $49.95.

If you live near Atlanta, let me know and I can post his phone number

I hope this helps

I thought there is a law forbidding an optometrist from forcing you to buy glasses from them after the exam. If someone walks in to get their $9.95 exam and refuses to buy glasses at your friend's place, isn't your friend breaking the law and risking board discipline by not handing over the prescription to the patient?

I talked to him tonight and you are right. Special is $19 and It is NOT necessary for them to purchase glasses from him but 99% of patients do.
He has 2 pairs of single vision glasses (thin lenses, i think he called it poly. lenses) for $99 or any 1 pair of no line bifocal glasses for $99.

I guess they are really competitive prices since almost all his patients purchase glasses from him.

I hope this helps

This is almost like the Harry Potter books. You do so much in volume, but have slashed your prices so much you make so little profit per sale.
