Is it worth it to go over this book? Or just work on the 101 passages.

If you can get it cheap or with the set, why not? It's not that long. Furthermore, there's some more practice passages in it which is good. However, if you are looking to buy it, get it for the practice problems and not so much the strategy.

i found their idea of closing your eyes and taking 5 second breaks before each passage very beneficial, but other than that i wouldn't bother with the other strategies unless nothing else is working for you.

I was actually pretty annoyed with the fact that there is so little practice in the actual book. I bought the complete package, and the other books are great. I just feel now that I'm lagging in my verbal practice because there were only three 30 min exams in the book and thats it. I was holding off to order the 101 verbal book until it came up on amazon (hopefully for cheaper).

imho, verbal is one of their most valuable books. go through it just for the way it changes your view on verbal. it makes you approach it differently. it worked for me anyway. i don't score lower than a 10 on verbal anymore. ever. hoping for a 13+ but we'll see. that's just me though. you might hate it. but i loved it.
