Examkrackers Vs. Kaplan

Hi. I already have the Examkrackers series which people use to prep for the MCATs. Do you think I should buy the Kaplan DAT blue book? My friend says it isn't worthwhile, but I don't just want to follow his opinion blindly. Thanks!

My personal opinion: Your friend is right. Examkrackers was much more concise and sample questions more useful than the blue book for OChem and General Chem. My most recent DAT scores improved two points over my previous test (I only used the blue book for the earlier test) in OChem and General Chem. I also used Cliffnote's AP Bio and my Bio score went up 7 points. I only bought the Examkrackers OChem and General Chem book with the accompanying 1001 questions in MCAT General Chem & 1001 questions in MCAT OChem. Best of luck to you!

Unfortunately you need Kaplan for Biol. For everything else EXAMCRACKERS. Still study Biol from examcrakers for biol, but add kaplan and Ap biol to it.

I didn't use examcrackers and to be honest never heard of it until this point. I would recommend the Kaplan Book. This however should not be the only book you use but it does a good job of giving you a general survey of the topics covered on the exam.

Geez, so this thread is about whether you should spend that extra $20 to get the Kaplan blue?

I just ordered ExamKrackers and Kaplan Blue today. Why not get as many resources as possible? $50 or less on Amazon with the possibility of getting a better score on the DAT, which is crucial...why not have both?

ummm, $20 will do for a used one, assuming you don't want to keep it for a lifetime.
