Hey. I took a full course from Examkrackers in CA. I had been using EK books before signing up for the course, so I was used to the format. Did this particular course help me? I would say so.
I started scoring 26-27 at the beginning of the course and ended up with 33's or so towards the end of the course. I did a couple points below my average on the actual MCAT, but that tends to happen and doesn't have anything to do with the course. Overall, I was satisfied with the practice scores I was getting towards the end of the course. If you have the money, I'm sure it won't hurt.
Some things:
1. The verbal practice for my course consisted of lots of in-class quizzes and then going over the answers. This helped because you got to talk through the answers. I'm not sure if your verbal intensive class will use a different strategy, but if you're scoring very low on verbal I'm sure it will help. I was scoring 8's before studying, and after minimal practice my average was about 10-11. I ended up with a 10 on the MCAT. If you're already scoring 10's I'm not entirely sure this class will help you.
2. You'll get tips on how to improve and practice materials, but improvement will only come with practice. You're not going to learn any magic in class that will make you a verbal god. That said, I think the EK approach to verbal is very useful. If you have one of their books, you'll learn lots of useful tips and tricks that should automatically raise your score 1-2 points if you use them on every passage. This is basically what happened for me. I focused on science and pretty much forgot to continue practicing verbal halfway through the course.
Edit: I think a valid alternative to the course could be to just buy the EK verbal book and practice using their techniques on EVERY passage that you do from now on.
