Example Writing Samples?

Hey does anyone know if there are example writing samples online somewhere? I just wanted to get an idea of what good writing samples look like. I took a Kaplan course, so I know the Kaplan strategy, but do AAMC or other test prep companies publish examples online?

About examples of Writing Sample essays, there should be some with your Kaplan course materials.

If you go under the CBTs on the AAMC website you can check out Writing Sample essays and their respective grades. There should be a link - when you check out your diag report after a FL check the left hand side of the screen I think.

Anyone know if Kaplan's approach to the writing section is actually successful (meaning, actually able to get a Q+)?

Yes I used the Kaplan writing strategy & got S's on my two actual MCATs.

Suggestions are to write very clearly, use lots of big/arcane words, and keep the focus dead on the issues posed in the questions.
