hello,
does anyone have any advice on how to approach/prepare for exit interviews with adcoms/deans? Are they like the initial interviews or more casual? Also, any idea on how long they are?

thanks

They are more casual... much more. 2 of my schools were super quick like <5 mins. One school was 30 mins or so and basically stated that I was in for next year. Sweet.

Usually, they just tell you what you need to do to improve your application. Like community service shadowing and taking more classes.

What are "exit interviews"? I've never heard of these. Are they relatively common at schools? When are they usually scheduled?

thanks peter..im kinda nervous bc its with the dean, hopefully he won't rip me apart!

He might, at worst he'll probably be condescending, but the fact that you interviewed with the school.... I dunno, you should be fine - they liked something about you or you beat the numbers cutoff but didn't fit w/ the school's mission. Who knows? Thats what he is suppossed to tell you.

All of mine were w/ deans. Honestly, it'll be very quick.
