a) knowing won't make that decision letter come any faster.
b) you should probably wait more than 38 minutes before bumping your original post.

patience!

i think case is starting to send them out next week. could be wrong, though.

a) i know the letter won't come any quicker, but I would like to know when I might expect to hear.
b) what is wrong with bumping after 38 minutes? I didnt want it to get lost or forgotten. I think this could be useful for everyone if people shared their information.

thanks for your response.

If you look at the threads from last year, WashU sent out a first batch of acceptances in early mid November, so cross your fingers! :scared:

I saw in another thread that someone called Case's admissions office, and they planned to start sending letters out tomorrow 10/22. I can only hope..... 😎

Those papers they gave us at Case during the interview have a section that says you can expect to hear from us within a month. So... a month from their first interviews is any day now. A month from mine of course is a different question...time to sit back and relax, oh I only wish it was as easily done as said. 😛

I wouldn't necessarily listen to what the people at the medical school tell you about when you will hear from them. A lot of schools probably tell students they won't hear for a while just to discourage annoying phone calls. The University of Colorado told me during my interview that I wouldn't here until March, but I was accepted today. I think doing an SDN search will yield more accurate results.

i think this is typically true. if for no other reason, i'm sure schools err on the side of caution and give conservative estimates so that you'll be elated if you hear back "early", but you'll be expecting it if it takes awhile. if they committed themselves to an earlier date and couldn't live up to it, they'd be buried in anal-retentive pre-med correspondence of all sorts, as VFrank pointed out.

anyone know about WashU? I called the admissions office today and asked if they have sent out any acceptances yet and the lady said that they would not release that information.

I've heard that their committee doesn't meet until Nov. 18th (or something like that), so you've got a few weeks to kick back and relax. Good luck.

bummer! but thanks for the reply.
