I am thinking about contacting the director of admissions through email to discuss if there is anything I can do to help my chanes from now till august 06 for the 2006 entering class..I already submitted the application and I have a low mcat so i was thinking showing that i care and try talking to the director it might show my personal side??

has anyone had any good or bad experience contacting the director of admissions or anyone else for that matter...

any tips, suggestions??

This means that you are interested in their school and this is a plus. It would be a good idea to contact them because they can tell you what would help. I contacted the dean of my top choice after I received my MCAT score and they were more than happy to speak to me and advise me on what I should do.

Go for it.

I contacted the director for a few schools, they actually schedule whats called "Academic Consultations" at some schools to discuss your situation, and others will be happy to guide you through email or phone time. Either way, never be affraid or hesitant, I have found that it is most helpful to contact the director.

What is the best way to contact them? what experience have you had. I feel like when I call, admissions office will be like "well is there anything that I can help with, etc etc et" or som'n of that affect. Should i email the director or call? and how do i get a hold of them.. and what approach should i take if my mcat is realllllllyyyy low...basically I want to show that I want to know if there is anything I can do from now till july-sept 2006 to help my chances of getting in

i think its a good idea too.

but if you havent been declined yet, dont mention what you could do in the following year to improve for the next application cycle.

i definitly think it shows how much you want to go there too.

Would it be a good idea to schedule a meeting with them in person instead of the phone? If you have tthe time to actually go out and meet them?
