Experiences with Rush MC?

I'm trying to decide whether I should send in my Rush Secondary. Anyone care to share their interview or student experiences? Does anyone know what it takes for a non-resident to be interviewed there? Is it worth my time and money?

hey kevin,

i spent some time at rush for a summer program and i have to say it was a great school! i really wanted to go there but i wasnt accepted! THEY SAY they are prepared to take 50% out of state students, but whether that was true last year, i'm not sure. Jan Schmidt is a good person to talk to about Rush, she's the Director of Admissions. They are really into helping minorities get into med school and aside from that, their hospital, Cook County, just had a make over..I HEAR ITS AMAZING!

I did alot of research at the rush cancer institute, and worked with a first year med school student there, and its a really great school from what I hear. And what's cool is that not only is there rush presbyterian hospital (a private hospital), but across the street is cook county, the same hospital that the show ER is based off of! (i don't know, i think that's pretty cool 🙂🙂)
