Just had a quick question for you guys,

Does it matter if the adversities/challenges we talk about in our secondaries happened before college? Like around HS senior year or graduation time? Let's assume you're not non-trad.

I would think not, as its not so long ago that it happened when you were a kid or something. I don't think there's an arbitrary line that makes something that happened in September of freshman year okay to talk about but not something that happened in June or July of your hs senior year. What do you all think?

No it doesn't matter when it happened. There are people who talk about the challenge they experienced moving from another country as a child, or family struggles they experienced growing up, maybe a childhood illness, etc.
Schools aren't going to expect that your biggest struggle happened in only the 4-5 years you were in undergrad.

I'm not applying just yet, but I received a lot of positive feedback on here when I asked if I should mention my bullying experiences in middle school through high school. They just want to see how you handled your challenge, what you learned from it and how it shaped you, how it might help you be a better doctor, etc.

Not really.
