A lot of dental school websites don't say anything about this but some seem to have a cutoff of 5years since taking pre reqs. I'm possibly going through a career change and I took over half of mine almost 5 years ago, but I have 4 or 5 still to take and the dat. Do you think good grades on my recent pre reqs and dat will show that I still have a strong science foundation or are those pre reqs being old going to hurt me on being accepted?

Osu said they don't have an expiration, Minnesotas website say that it "may" be considered outdated, and a lot of the others I think I'm going to have to call individually.

Has anyone else dealt with this situation??

Yup. I'm doing a career change/Gap years. UF said they had no expiration. Maryland says 10 years or older is too old. Some schools emphasize 5 years and some really don't care. I think what matters is that you do well on the DAT and that your score is not 2 or more years because your score does expire. If your in doubt just call the schools your looking into. Hope that helps.
