can you please give me tips on more extra curricula's o pursue. i want to really strengthen y resume in this regard because i feel it is a great way to do so
currently i am an editor in my schools scence journal.
i am president of my schools science club
i have 250 hours shadowing.
i volunteer as a big brother program member.
if you give me any ideas to look into, please post and be specific so i can go about researching it. thank you so much.

not sure if big brother program helps i just thought i should mention it. Maybe you can answer that question too, should i even put that on application?

You can try and look for hobby based extracurriculars? Join clubs and be a part of things that interest you in the community.

what hobby based extra curricula's
I don't know; its based on you. What do you like to do in your free time? Join university clubs for fun! I think it shows a sense of community. For example, you could start being a part of a rock climbing club and then become an exec of the club and stuff! You get to meet more people who like doing the same things as you, make some new friends, and have fun! Extracurriculars don't always have to be academic; you can have fun with them too! 🙂 Just what I think.

Remember it's quality, not quantity. AADSAS only lets you pick 6 more meaningful activities to go on the cover page anyway, and that's what adcoms look at most.

Definitely put that on your application. You a leader, giving back to the community, you mentored a child/student who needed it and shows that you are caring esp since you did it for so long.

pre-health clubs can be worthless if it is just a club in name, and does nothing

in High School, my friends formed an "Office Club", we got together and watch The Office with Michael Scott, Dwight, Jim, etc. We had officers and a mission statement, club did nothing but the president and VP listed it under leadership roles.

The best ECs are ones that you have been actively involved and can speak passionately about.

Missions of Mercy are great dental volunteer events for predents. Only happen a couple times a year though.

Maybe volunteer to be a sterile tech at dental office, this could potentially lead to a chair side RDA position.

Quantity over quality??? I believe it is the other way around. No point in have 20 activities just to have them on your resume. Chose QUALITY over quantity that helps represent who you are, what you're interested in, and maybe what you're passionate about.

AGHH that's what happens when I type at 2 in the morning. Yes I absolutely meant quality over quantity!!!!
