I have enough credits to graduate from college in 3 years, or I can slow down and take 4 years. Is it worth to add any masters which take one year?

If you can graduate in three years with good enough gpa/MCAT/ECs, just apply to medical school.

He's already in a BS/MD program. If you want to do a Master's, go for it. Personally, I'd slow down and try to enjoy my college experience before doing a Master's. You should also see if applying to graduate school will knock you out of your BS/MD.

Why would anyone take extra time to get a masters if they already have an acceptance to medical school? 😕 The only scenario I can think of is if someone were really passionate about their masters concentration... but the OP doesn't seem to have a concentration in mind.

Albany's BS/MD with Union has their students get a masters or MBA, but it's a requirement and not an option.

Does anyone know if you take graduate classes in college if they can count towards a Masters?

I don't think any grad courses you take as an undergrad will count towards a graduate degree, because you are not enrolled in the graduate program.

To the OP, if the Master's doesn't take you out of the BS/MD program you're in and you'd like the extra year of experience/college before starting medical school, go for it! I'd probably skip it and go straight for medical school, but who knows, I probably would have been way too intimidated started med school at 20 years old anyway.

You'd have to talk to your registrar and to someone in the Masters program to arrange that. If the programs are at the same school it could be a possibility.
