hi everyone

i just took the aug mcat...

i was wondering if i should send 'letters of interest' to school prior to the interview basically because my app has been 'dead' for so long...

good idea? do they even make a difference prior to interview?
i wanted to do this for especially for schools that don't require an essay, that way they'll have some personality to work with.

let me know what you think please.

make sure you check if the schools accept supplemental materials beyond the supplemental app. for example, stanford does not accept any form of material beyond your secondary. if you send it in, they'll ignore it. the only thing they may accept is an updated course list (no grades, though). columbia accepts most forms of supplemental material, on the other hand. nyu is also receptive to supporting docs. hope that helps a little (if you applied to any of these schools). if not, i'd call the school just to double check that you're not wasting your time! 🙂
