Hello - I'm in the process of filling out secondaries and I could use some help. This may be a stupid question, but what exactly counts as extracurricular activities? For example, I was a biology teaching assistant - is this an extracurric activity? Thanks for any help!!

Hi, I am doing the same. I didn't put my position as a teaching assistant in the extra-curric. but I guess it could go there... I wove mine into one of my essays in one form or another.

For the extra-curric stuff I put community service, my athletics (I was a varsity athlete) and in the case of the "extra-curric/honors" section I put my honor society memberships too. I guess it's really for anything that you did that wasn't academically related, but that's just my opinion, others may think of other stuff to put in this section. Hope this helps! Best of luck. 🙂

for extracurricular activities, i wrote stuff i did in college. i played lacrosse, did honor societies, and did alot of photography for my school so i included that.
like you, i was also a TA, but i wrote that in under employment, volunteer experience, etc.
the extracurric section can be puzzling. i think of it as "what do you do in your free time, other than health/biology/medical commitments?" for example, are you really into fitness? do you teach aerobic/yoga/karate, etc. classes?
hope this helps...
