Could someone please list a few examples of what they may include on the extracurricular activity portion of the PTCAS application? I feel as if there is not much direction on this section and I don't want to just be putting anything, but I also don't want to not include something that may in fact be valuable. Thanks!

When I asked this, the advice I got was to differentiate between "hobbies" and "extracurriculars"
i.e. if you play tennis with your boyfriend once in awhile, that's a hobby.
but if you played tennis on a club or varsity team or with another group with an official title, that is an extracurricular.
Not sure if that is helpful.. I agree it is very vague. Some things may just be a judgment call.

I put my fitness certifications down and that was about it.

I put down the academic/ school related clubs I was in and the officer positions I held.

I put down volunteer work that was not PT related.

What about coaching a flag football team?

I would definitely put that down. I think it's ok to include any type of leadership position or unpaid volunteer work you've done outside of classes.
