I'm new to the forums (this is my first post!)

I was thinking about joining my cities local gang. It is a faction of the world famous Crips to be specific. I thought this would be a great opportunity to make connections and even earn a little bit of extra cash (probably by becoming involved in prostitution, drug smuggling ect.)

I hear initiation would be tough, 5 minutes of non stop beatings to get in. I think it would be worth it in the end especially since there is such a huge emphasis on extracurriculars for med school admissions. I plan on applying to alot of schools in cali and im sure they would appreciate if i joined a gang whos roots are in the state.

It would look great on my resume for med school when adcoms see me getting involved in community activities such as this.

Let me know your thoughts! Thanks and SOOWOO!

Well. Just when I thought I had seen every type of trolling, this comes along.

Just 5 min of non-stop beatings? Man that's an easy initiation! I say go for it, I'm sure adcomms will love this type of "EC"

Will definitely land you some interviews. You gotta do whatever you can to set yourself apart. Everybody has the 36MCAT/3.9GPA, publications, shadowing, volunteering, etc. You simply can't get in to med school with those basic stats and ECs anymore.

Just don't get arrested and you should be fine!

I've heard it's better to be born a crip than become one later in life...

Not sure of your gender, but if you're female, I know you have the option to get "****ed in" instead of beat in. I hear it's a 6-7 person g-bang but will probably last less than 5 minutes if you're actually worth your salt. Just a thought that might save some facial bruises/lost teeth.

It will make you seem well-rounded, disciplined, and it will really highlight your altruism and empathy. I say go for it.
