I was trying to find an extracurricular that could make me really stand out. I looked into joining clubs like predental society but i want to do something cool like go out of the country to volunteer. does anyone know of any programs that i can do this?

Experiential Learning International - eliabroad.org

It's quite costly, but I volunteered abroad through them and loved the experience. You might want to check out some organizations at your school. Some actually have international volunteer trips that might be a lot cheaper.

Do you go to UC Berkeley? If you do, a chapter of Global Medical Training (GMT) just started there. Try to look out for it. Many of our trips have dental components if we can get enough pre-dental volunteers.

Yeah i do. did you do any volunteering with global medical training? I also was wondering how long is long enough to volunteer i was planing 2 weeks but my friend said that to actually be helpful to the country I do to i need to go for a least a month.
