Thought this was interesting. Other factors besides gestational age that affect survival in extreme premies: singleton vs multiple, birth weight, antenatal steroids & sex of the child.

Intensive Care for Extreme Prematurity

I don't know how long this article will be free, but I would be interested in OldBear's take on this. Is this surprising, particularly the sex of child finding? Please discuss!
