Does anyone know what first aid means by:
Anergy:

self reactive t cells become non reactive w/o costimulatory molecule
B cells become anergic but tolerance is less complete than in T cells

What do they mean by tolerance is less complete? and how is it less complete?
doesn't B cell just make IgD and die off when anergic?? and Why would self reactive T cells not find a co stimulatory molecule? [ie if dendritic cell presents a self molecule, it still has it's costimulatory signal does it not?

Also for live attenuated vaccine, why is it mostly a cellular response, and a humoral for inactivated/killed? And why is cellular response longer and stronger lasting than humoral??? Thanks!!!

The damage that can be inflicted by self reactive naive t cells can be prevented by 2 mechanisms:
1- You kill these naive t cells. This is done by negative selection in the thymus
2- If some self reactive naive t cells escape step #1, then when these naive t cells react with an APCs their activation is hindered since the APC will ''withhold'' the secondary/costimulatory molecule. This prevents this self reactive naive t cell from developing into a mature T cell capable of damage.

A live attenuated you're actually injecting infectious particles into the body, so they'll enter cells causing a cellular response against that infection.

A killed vaccine is just basically a bunch of antigen (usually proteins on the outside of a viral envelope). You're just stimulating that primary humoral response so the next time you see the antigen you have a much stronger humoral response.
