I know there's a FA forum, but almost nobody replies there.

Anyway, I sent in my electronic FAFSA on Feb 28, but I've received NOTHING yet. If it matters, all my numbers were estimated (as indicated) because the tax returns aren't done yet.

My Q-- how long after submitting the FAFSA am I supposed to get the form asking me to confirm the initial tax/income numbers?

Thanks

Did you have a PIN number? Or did you have to print out and send a signature form? If you used a PIN and signed electronically, you should have gotten your SAR with your EFC within a couple days at most. (I got mine the next day). Using estimates should not affect anything. It's the individual schools that will be asking for copies of your (and your parents') tax returns.

After completing all the questions, I simply clicked "submit," and that was that.

Did you get your SAR in the mail, or via email?

I got it by email. If you don't have/use a PIN, you have to print out and send in a signature form. That's probably what's holding things up. I think they will mail your SAR only after you mail in that form. Call their 1-800 number -- they're really helpful, unlike AMCAS "specialists"!
The number is 1-800-433-3242. Did you print out a copy of your application when you submitted it? It should have a DRN (Data Release Number) on it (on the Computed Information page that has your EC on it) that will help them find your info.

Thanks for your help, but I just checked my email, and there was a link to the SAR! I remember getting the email, but I just thought it was just to tell me that I sent the FAFSA successfully. 🙄
