sometimes just nobody takes the initiative and makes it and invites people. I made our facebook group and inivited everyone.

It's yet another clever social networking site on the internet--like Myspace. A single webpage devoted to a personal profile that you can "connect" to other pages. Facebook is more streamlined and easier to use than most. You can create a group page and have people join. Hence, the OP's question.

If you feel a dearth, then get creating. My class just made theirs a few weeks ago, and we're already talking about the core issues: like custom t-shirts.

Facebook is a social networking site. People in college check it everyday obsessively. I would venture that it gained popularity for the GRADUATING college class of about 2004 or 2005 and from then on out became a massive hit.

👍 Trudat. I stayed off of facebook until October of MS 1. By that time, I had seen enough photos with me in them that I ought to at least jump in and remove tags where applicable.
