Someone said that for everyone that was writing them a L.O.R. they prepared a fact sheet that told that person about things that they have done other than what the writer would be aware of. Does this sound like a good idea? How would one write it without sounding super cocky?

Yup, good advice. My LOR writers got a packet from me with my CV, PS, ECs and a list of attributes that my school of choice is looking for along with that schools mission statement.

I just gave my writers a copy of my personal statement, transcript, and resume.

Yep, pretty standard fare. If your prof didn't ask for it, give it to them anyway. Chances are they don't know you THAT well, plus it helps to fill in blanks when they are writing a LOR for you.
