From doing a little background search: I learned that some schools require CSS and some do not. For those of you applying for financial aid, do you recommend that I fill out both FAFSA/CSS and send it to the schools that I am waiting on?

Also, is there an option to add schools later if I wanted to? I'm not sure if I want to shell out $18 per school for the CSS when I am not even accepted. Thanks

I would contact the financial aid department of the schools you are waiting on to see if they require CSS. A lot of schools also send out emails from the financial aid office for accepted/waitlisted/in limbo students so check your spam folders for those. Send the FAFSA to each school, it's free and I'm pretty sure most if not all require it, and the deadline is coming up soon. Wait on the CSS until they say whether or not they need it.
