Hello---

I just had a quick question about the whole EFC portion of the FAFSA. Because most of us are independents, does that make our EFC portion $0, or does that have nothing to do with it? I just received an EFC of $0, so I was wondering if that had to do with my and my mother's salaries, or just that my family (except for me, of course), should expect to not contribute anything financially.
