I am going to NYU this fall and was wondering about who's tax info goes into my FAFSA. Just mine, or also my parents?
Does it help or hurt to put parents tax info in there also?

I called NYU Financial aid and asked them about that. They said it doesn't hurt to put your parents info, it can only help. However I told the woman I'm 29 and mommy and daddy won't be contributing anything and are reluctant to give me any of their financial info. She asked me what they did for a living and I told her and she said that based on their profession submitting their financal info would be pointless b/c it wouldn't help me any. So basically, if your parents don't make alot of $$ submitting their info can only help you.

Thanks a lot cymbidium. I guess I'll just put them on there. Doesn't hurt.
See you in school. Have you applied to the research thing yet? I would definitely go through with it if I get some sort of aid.

Yeah, I've applied and I'll go if I get a stipend. I wonder how they determine who gets one and who doesn't. The application was basically name, address, and check the box of the type of research you're interested in.

I chose behavioral and clinical research only. Hope I get one of those.
