Hey guys, so this is my first time completing a FAFSA for graduate school and I had a quick question. After I had filled out my FAFSA it says that I have an EFC of 0000, but then under that it says

Direct Stafford Loan Estimate: $20,500.

Is it normal to get a Stafford loan estimate on the FAFSA? And even if I had an EFC of 0 isn't it conflicting that they would offer me such a high loan?

Thanks.

FAFSA will always pump you out an estimation for grants/loans. EFC of 0 means you would qualify for maximum aid..... loans aren't based on credit, etc.

Disregard the $20,500, that is simply the maximum for graduate students. Health professional students are allowed to borrow twice that in Direct loans and the rest would be covered up to the cost of attendance in Direct PLUS loans.
